Welcome to Waldo’s

Fun, casual and relaxed — and serious about the food.

Mark cooks for you himself, with his hand-picked team, and spends his days where he belongs: in the kitchen.

You’ll find casual bistro plates, tempting vegetarian choices and all your “old” Waldo’s favourites — the baked brie, the rack of lamb, the seafood stack. Savour wine by the glass, the half-litre or the bottle, and settle in. Nobody here is rushing you.

The Chef

Mark Kitching, still at the stove.

Trained in the great kitchens of Europe. Cooking for London since 1987.

Before Waldo’s, Mark worked the line at the London InterContinental, cooked in Frankfurt, Lucerne and Paris, and stood in the kitchen of the three-Michelin-star Troisgros in Roanne. He went on to run the kitchens of the InterContinental in Abu Dhabi and five restaurants at the Siam InterContinental in Bangkok — then came to London, Ontario, and made it home.

He also owns Mark’s Fine Meats, just steps away in the Market, so the beef, lamb and seafood on your plate are chosen by the man who cooks them.
